Exercise in pregnancy is important and it is recommended that all women get 20-30 min of exercise most of the days of the week. Exercise can help reduce aches and pains, constipation, bloating and swelling in pregnancy, as well as may prevent or treat gestational diabetes. Yoga is a low-impact exercise that incorporates breath work, balance, toning, and increases circulation. Studies show that prenatal yoga decreases stress, anxiety, and sleep problems during pregnancy and can decrease duration of and improve comfort in labor. (from St Francis Certified Nurse Midwives)

What to bring.

Bring a yoga mat, large towel and a cushion or pillow and signed release form (this is on the registration page along with directions to the class).
