(Shakopee, January 10, 2017) St. Francis Regional Medical Center will hold a medical therapeutic yoga workshop, “Connecting Your Pelvic Floor to Your Core,” on Saturday, January 28 from 9:00am – 12:00 noon. The yoga workshop will be held at St Francis Rehabilitative Services, on the second floor of the 1601 Medical Office Building on the St. Francis campus (1601 St. Francis Ave., Suite 200). You will learn optimal exercise methods to create a healthy balance within your body. We will discuss challenges which may occur when this core system in not optimally balanced. This yoga therapy workshop provides education on our body’s core system, applied movements and breath within a yoga practice. There is no need to have yoga experience to attend. Resource handouts include information covered in the session and an outlined yoga sequence for practice at home. Wear comfortable loose clothing. Yoga mats and supplies are available if you do not have your own. Chairs will also available.
