St Francis Regional Medical Center Extends Urgent Care Hours

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (Mon. January 4, 2016) —  St Francis Regional Medical Center now offers extended evening and weekend hours for the urgent care clinic located in the Shakopee hospital.  “We saw a community need for better access to urgent care as an affordable care option,” said hospital president Mike McMahan.  Urgent Care is now open from 5:00pm to 12:00am Monday through Friday, and from 10:00am to 12:00am on Saturday and Sunday.

To even further improve access to urgent care, St Francis is planning on opening a new St Francis Urgent Care in the Southbridge retail area in Shakopee in 2016. The clinic will be located five miles east of the hospital, across from Sam’s Club and Walmart, and will be visible from Hwy169. According to the Minneapolis – St Paul Business Journal, this site is one of the top 15 busiest retail areas in the Twin Cities. The new location will complement the operating hours of the urgent care clinic at the hospital. The new urgent care will likely be open from 8:00am – 5:00pm on weekdays and will likely offer weekend hours. Suburban Emergency Associates and St Francis are partnering on both urgent care clinics to best serve the community.
