St. Francis Regional Medical Center Farmers Market open now through the end of September

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (June 19, 2017) — St. Francis Regional Medical Center’s Farmers Market is open now through the end of September. It's held Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parking lot of the main entrance on the St. Francis Campus, 1455 St. Francis Ave. in Shakopee.

The market promises to be lively and vibrant. "Our market includes everything fresh," says Michelle Enderson, wellness coordinator at St. Francis."It's a great way for people to take advantage of fresh, local produce and products, which is good for one’s health and wellbeing."

Vendors include:

  • Farmers Market Club, organic canned goods, herbs and crafts
  • Untiedt’s Vegetable Farm, products that are hand-harvested, locally and sustainably produced
  • Great Harvest Bread Company, whole grain, whole-wheat bread
  • Sweet Goddess Chocolates, hand-crafted chocolates, caramels, dessert sauces, etc.
  • Koo Koo Kookies, high-quality dog treats and treats for dogs with allergies

Other vendors and items include honey and syrup and flowers.

"We're always looking to add vendors," says Enderson. "It's important to us to be able to give people variety."

In addition to vendors, St. Francis' Farmers Market also boasts local food trucks, where patrons can enjoy tasty treats and shop, all in one place. There's a new food truck featured each week.

"It's nice to be able to give back, even in a small way," says Enderson."And, it’s a win-win. We have the space, so it's nice to be able to share it with our local vendors and community."

Interested vendors are encouraged to contact Michelle Enderson at 952/428-2739 or michelle.enderson@allina.com. Space is provided to vendors at a $25 one-time fee that goes toward wellness needs for Saints Healthcare Funds, a mission-driven fundraising organization for St. Francis Regional Medical Center and St. Gertrude’s Health and Rehabilitation Center.
