St. Francis Regional Medical Center Named to Top 150 Workplaces in Minnesota for Fifth Consecutive Year

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (June 26, 2017) - St. Francis Regional Medical Center has been recognized by the Star Tribune as a Top Workplace. The Top Workplace recognition is based solely on surveys about the workplace completed by employees. This is the fifth year in a row that St. Francis has received this honor and puts the hospital in the top one percent of companies in the state to be recognized.

Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health and satisfaction. St. Francis has 858 employees and is located in Shakopee, the county seat of Scott County, one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. The rankings in the Star Tribune Top 150 Workplaces are based on survey information collected by WorkplaceDynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.

In addition, Valley Rehabilitation Services at St. Francis, received a Top 150 Workplace Award. Valley Rehabilitation provides both pediatric and adult rehabilitative services including physical, sports, occupational and speech therapy services. Valley Rehabilitation has 59 employees and was ranked in the top small company list by the Star Tribune.

To qualify for the Star Tribune Top Workplaces, a company must have more than 50 employees in Minnesota. Over 2,000 companies participated. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
