The privilege to be a radiation oncologist is a wonderful and awesome responsibility. We witness people in distress, and usually, we can cure most diseases. If we can't, we can help a patient's last days to be more hopeful and pain free. I strive to help patients understand the natural history of a disease, the options for treatment and to help them determine which option would be best for their unique circumstance. It's a privilege to help a patient's family understand their family member's options. I have a wonderful staff who share these goals.
