Dr. Skeik is the section head of the vascular medicine program and the medical director of the vein center, anticoagulation and thrombophilia clinic, and vascular laboratories. Before completing his vascular medicine training at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, he served as an internal medicine consultant at St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston, Maine for five years and as a hospitalist at Maine General Hospital in Augusta, Maine for two and a half years. He also practiced medicine within cardiology, internal and emergency medicine departments in Istanbul.

Dr. Skeik is an associate professor of medicine and enjoys teaching. He has authored many peer-reviewed research, general review and report manuscripts in the fields of vascular and internal medicine.

As a vascular medicine specialist, Dr. Skeik helps prevent, diagnose and treat vascular disorders including arterial, venous and lymphatic diseases; unusual vascular conditions; and clotting disorders. He is interested in providing the most up-to-date patient care in all fields of vascular medicine, with a special interest in venous disease, clotting disorders, rare vasculopathies, and vasculitis. Dr. Skeik treats varicose veins using radiofrequency and laser ablation, or glue, as well as sclerotherapy. He participates in the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Program and wound clinic.
