Dr. Fjelstad grew up in southern Minnesota, and attended Winona State University, and the University of Minnesota for his undergraduate studies. He attended medical school and his residency in Chicago.
He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (www.ACFAS.org). To stay current in his field, he attends several educational conferences each year. These conferences include surgical dissection seminars.
In his spare time he enjoys golf, travel, reading, and the company of family and friends.
