Practice philosophy:

I am a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine.  My professional interests include women's health, preventive medicine, chronic conditions, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, mental health and well-child exams. I also speak Hindi and Tamil.

Best part of my work: Motivating patients into preventive health and helping patients understand their condition better to make progress.

Why I became a physician: Initially it was the challenge of making the medical diagnosis and giving the optimal treatment but what keeps me going now is the immense job satisfaction of helping patients feels their best.

What I tell friends and family: Have fun but also try to eat healthy and exercise regularly.

How I spend my free time: I spend my free time with my husband and two sons. I love to travel, exercise, cook, dance, visit theme parks and I want to ride a Harley Davidson bike someday.

What patients say about me: I’m comfortable talking to them about their health and I ask questions.

Favorite health tip: Spend 30 minutes of ‘me time’ everyday doing what you love to do.

Awards/honors: Recipient of “The Resident Teacher” award from The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

Languages spoken:
